When revising for my MCA oral exam, I decided to make some notes on the IRPCS, otherwise known as the COLREGs or the Rules of the Road.

This really helped me learn the Rules. Since I put a lot of time into it, I thought I’d share my notes with the world. Enjoy!

I’m not sure who holds the copyright to the Rules, but since the document has been published by the UN, in a very real way it belongs to everyone.

I have reproduced the Rules here as best I can, but if you want to read the Rules without all my gumph clogging it up, you’ll have to go elsewhere.
